Footwear buyers are focused on fall, and so is Holly Joffron, who designed the collections that Renaissance (6049) is debuting here. The most popular shoes on the men’s side thus far have been Campus Cruzers, a line that encompasses moccasins, boots, boat shoes and athletic-inspired styles. “We’ve had a lot of interest in the perforated moccasin and the desert boot,” she says. “Both have our unique logo treatment.”
On the women’s side, two of the eye-catchers at the Renaissance exhibit are the jewel sandal—with an engraved logo and team-colored jewels—and ballet flat. “The ballet flat folds up and is ideal for people on the go,” Joffron adds. “I try to do everything with a fashion-forward twist, stepping away from the typical shoe.”
Also new for fall at Renaissance is a driving moc for men, a real-tree camo loafer, a vulcanized athletic shoe, and new textures and uppers throughout the line.
