The University of Michigan recently unveiled new football uniforms branded with Nike’s Michael Jordan-branded “Jumpman” logo.
When the Wolverines open the 2016 football season on Sept. 3 against the University of Hawaii, they will be the first team in college football history to don the Jumpman uniforms.
Jumpman is owned by Nike, with whom Michigan signed a then-record $169 million contract last year that runs through 2027. In addition to a $12 million signing bonus, the university will receive more than $10 million annually and $80.2 million in apparel, according to Forbes.
The Michigan Jumpman-branded gear will be available on Aug. 6 on Jordan.com, and at The M Den, the official retailer of Michigan Athletics. — M.Q.
