The National Football League (NFL), New York, recently named Peter Griffiths the Chief Operating Officer of NFL International.
Griffiths will be responsible for NFL offices in Mexico and China, and also will oversee opportunities for growth in countries such as Brazil and Germany. In addition, he will oversee the league’s international sponsorship and licensing business.
Griffiths previously held several senior positions at IMG, where he spent the last 26 years.
“Peter is an experienced sports industry executive with a strong track record of success in the development of sports properties around the world,” says Mark Waller, executive vice president of NFL International. “His proven leadership skills will enable the NFL to continue to grow internationally.”
