Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is the leader of the NFL Players Association (NFLPA)’s, Washington, D.C., Top 50 Player Sales list through the second quarter of the NFLPA’s current fiscal year.
Wilson ended last year atop the list, though at the end of the first quarter of this year, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady led the pack.
Joining Wilson in the top five are Brady, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.
The list is released quarterly by NFL Players Inc., the NFLPA’s licensing and marketing arm, and is based on overall licensed products sales of from online and retail outlets as reported by more than 80 licensees, such as Nike, Fanatics, VF Imagewear, Outerstuff, Fathead and more.
Licensed product categories include men’s, women’s and youth game jerseys and T-shirts, player murals, figurines, matted and framed photos, bobbleheads, lanyards and more.
Rounding out the top 10 were Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
