The University of Houston recently announced it has agreed to a multi-year retail partnership with Fanatics, Jacksonville, Fla., the school’s athletic department announced last week.
Fanatics will exclusively operate online and on-site retail for the Cougars, including the new UHTeamShop.com website and the on-campus bookstore in the TDECU Stadium parking garage. The new e-commerce operation will provide desktop and mobile-optimized navigation in a faster, more streamlined experience, according to the company.
“We are delighted to partner with Fanatics to provide University of Houston fans a first class shopping experience both online and in person,” says Hunter Yurachek, University of Houston vice president for Athletics. “Fanatics has an impressive résumé in delivering quality merchandise and we look forward to them doing the same for our passionate fan base.” — M.Q.
