SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – April 15, 2015 – The 2015 Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show held this past January, the premier event for brand owners, licensors, licensees and retailers in the world of sports merchandise and licensed products, was host to key industry buyers and decision makers.
Verified buyers from several national chains including, Academy Sports and Outdoor, Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Costco, Dillard’s, Kohl’s, LIDs, JC Penney, Old Navy, Ross, Sam’s Club, Sears, Sports Authority, TJ Maxx, Staples, Walmart and others were in attendance in significant numbers to place orders in support of their licensed product initiatives.
Buyers from around the world came to locate product for their retail stores and shops, including retail Internet giant Fanatics, along with specialty retailers, Sports Fever, MVP Sports, Pro Image Sports, and Hall of Fame Cards & Collectibles. The show also included buyers from several colleges, universities and professional sports organizations including, Ohio State University, University of Florida, UCLA, The University of Iowa, University of South Alabama Bookstore, Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks, and Dallas Cowboys Merchandising.
“The Sports Licensing and Tailgate show is vital to our business and overall sales strategy. We come to this show to see the major retailers. This year we had scheduled meetings with Target, Kohl’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart, and Sports Authority, to name a few,” said Kris Tally, VP of Sales and Marketing for Logo Chair. “We saw the fan shops and specialty retailers as well, and we were able to capitalize on seeing the major retailers which resulted in our ability to put sales programs together and also add items to their assortment for the coming year. We are looking forward to 2016, and have already booked an expanded space on the show floor.”
