Panini America, Irving, Texas, unveiled its latest quarterly trading card industry report and three NFC East rookies lead the rookie list.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot comprise the top three, respectively. Prescott rose 11 spots since the second-quarter rankings as opposed to Wentz, who has dominated the top spot.
“Honestly, this is pretty cool,” says Wentz. “To be among so many talented and popular rookies this early in the season is really humbling. I’m just thankful to all the fans, both in Philadelphia and beyond, who helped put me in this position so early in my career.”
As far as the veterans go, the list is led by the recently reinstated New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. The rest of the top five include Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, respectively. — M.Q.
