Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, and Aqua Sphere, Vista, Calif., a swimming equipment manufacturer, are partnering to launch the MP brand of competitive swim gear.
The brand will launch in May with a men’s competitive swimsuit called the Xpresso, with a women’s version of the suit, performance goggles and a swim snorkel launching later in the year.
“My decision to partner with Aqua Sphere and launch the MP brand was driven by the opportunity to enhance the technical aspects of swimming products available in the marketplace, and I am proud to be a part of the development of our first competitive racing suit, the Xpresso,” says Phelps. “I believe we have created a racing suit that provides the correct level of compression in the right areas, combined with flexibility that is noticeably significant in and out of the water.
