Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota’s jersey was No. 1 in sales for May, according to nflshop.com.
“It’s surreal for me, it’s such an honor,” Mariota said in a radio interview with The Midday 180 in Nashville. “For me it’s one of those deals, looking back on it in the future, it’s a crazy, crazy deal for sure.”
After the NFL Draft in April, the first two players taken, Mariota and Jameis Winston, were Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, in May jersey sales. Winston was taken No. 1 overall in the Draft.
Tom Brady, the quarterback of the New England Patriots, was third overall; Russell Wilson, quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks, was fourth; and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. rounded out the top five.
Other rookies who were taken in the 2015 NFL Draft who made the list were San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, who came in at No. 24, and Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper, who was No. 25 on the list.
