Levi Strauss & Co., San Francisco, has expanded its National Football League (NFL) collection to include six additional teams following its inaugural launch with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2014-15 NFL season.
In addition to the 49ers, featured teams include the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, New York Giants and New York Jets.
The Levi’s NFL Collection was conceptualized as a standalone collection for the 49ers in honor of the team’s first season in Levi’s Stadium, but the addition of six teams is reflective of positive reception from 49ers fans, according to the company.
“Being the naming rights sponsor of Levi’s Stadium allowed us to spend time connecting with fans, which helped us identify a void in the wearable team merchandise market,” says James Curleigh, Levi’s brand president. “Fans want gameday gear that reflects their everyday style, but also lets them proudly represent their favorite team. The Levi’s NFL Collection gives them that.”
The Levi’s NFL Collection will offer men and women’s apparel, including the Levi’s NFL Varsity trucker, Levi’s NFL trucker, Levi’s NFL Western shirt and Levi’s NFL tee.
