Talent and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Los Angeles, has acquired Atlanta-based sports licensing agency Fermata Partners.
Fermata will become a subsidiary of the talent and sports agency, according to Variety, though other terms were not disclosed.
In less than three years since its formation, Fermata has signed licensing deals with four major collegiate brands: Kentucky, Miami, Oregon and, as of July 1, Georgia.
Not only a collegiate licensing firm, Fermata represents several major Premier League soccer teams, including Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool F.C. It also recently announced deals with the Churchill Downs racetrack and its headline event, the Kentucky Derby.
All four of Fermata’s founding partners — Scott Bouyack, Kit Walsh, Derek Eiler and Chris Prindiville — signed long-term employment deals to stay with the company, according to Variety.
