Atairos Group Inc., New York, recently announced it has acquired Learfield Communications Inc., a provider of integrated collegiate sports marketing solutions in college sports.
Learfield Communications is the parent company of Learfield Sports, which manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for more than 120 collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas. Atairos has experience and a strategic partnership with Comcast-NBC Universal that will enable it to develop new opportunities, services, and insights for its collegiate partners, particularly in programming, digital capabilities and social media.
Learfield President and CEO Greg Brown will continue to lead the senior management team as there are no plans to make staffing, management or operations changes to the company.
