Arizona State University (ASU) and adidas, Herzogenaurach, Germany, revealed the Sun Devils’ new ‘Desert Ice’ Primeknit alternate football uniforms, which will be worn Sept. 5 when ASU takes on the Texas A&M Aggies at NRG Stadium in Houston.

Developed in collaboration with Sun Devil Athletics, the uniform pays homage to Arizona’s nickname as the “Copper State,” and features a copper polished pitchfork on the helmet and pants, along with copper numbers and lettering.

Primeknit is a compression uniform system that features the latest generation of adidas TECHFIT technology, and keeps players cool and increases range of motion, according to the company.

The uniform also includes a TECHFIT baselayer and adizero 5-Star 4.0 gloves, which feature an oversized graphic of Arizona’s state flag.
