Sports lifestyle apparel and headwear brand ’47 Brand, Westwood, Mass., will develop an exclusive ’47 Archive Collection with the Collegiate Licensing Co.’s College Vault brand for Texas A&M University and the University of Tennessee.

The brand also will provide the ’47 Archive Collection to the University of Texas and the University of Kentucky.

While ’47 Brand already has relationships with more than 900 colleges and universities, this is the first time the company has developed exclusive partnerships with schools to offer these history-laden, premium collections.

College Vault was created to celebrate the academic, athletic and lifestyle traditions associated with colleges and universities. It contains images and logos from collegiate archives, contributing to the creation of unique, history-inspired clothing and accessories. ’47 Brand is working with College Vault to share significant, celebration-worthy moments in time from the respective sports histories of the Texas A&M Aggies and University of Tennessee Volunteers.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to create the ’47 Archive Collection and help spread school pride for these four esteemed, well-known colleges and universities,” said ’47 Brand co-owner Bobby D’Angelo. “All of these schools have a national footprint and following, and we are proud to celebrate and depict significant eras in each of their histories through our quality headwear and apparel.”

The exclusive partnership will span from July 2014 to June 2016 and will include premium college products, including the ’47 Brand Scrum and Flanker tees, FRANCHISE, Clean Up and Big Shot headwear, as well as Striker and Cross Check fleece — all touting standout eras from the respective schools’ archives. Products are now available for purchase at each campus’ retail store and via online partner retail channels, such as Fanatics.com.
