Five Below, Philadelphia, a retailer catering to teens and pre-teens, announced its initial entry into Alabama with the March 13 opening of stores in Huntsville, Florence and Gadsden.
“Entering Alabama is an important next step as we continue to grow our footprint across the country,” says Joel Anderson, CEO of Five Below. “We’re excited to open the first of what we hope to be many stores in this great state.”
The company has more than 365 stores in 21 states; it opened 62 new stores in 2014, and expects to open 70 stores this year. The company caters to the teenage demographic and their parents, and carries products from footballs and soccer balls to nail polish and yoga pants.
