Herbert Hainer, CEO of adidas, Herzogenaurach, Germany, recently spoke out against the style of play of Manchester United, one of the largest teams it sponsors.

Hainer told Suddeutsch Zeitung, Germany’s largest national newspaper by subscription, that while business is going well with the English Premier League, adidas is concerned about how the team is playing.

Manchester United has been slumping in form recently, and adidas expects more from the English giants, especially after inking the club to a $109 million-a-year deal at the start of the season.
