adidas, Herzogenaurach, Germany, recently announced the Messi 10/10, a limited-edition cleat with only 100 pairs produced worldwide, will be available on Oct. 10.
Lionel Messi, an Argentinian soccer player who has won four Ballon d’Ors at Spanish club FC Barcelona, is the inspiration for the cleat.
Interested fans would have to travel to Barcelona to get their hands on the cleat, though only 89 will be available for one day only to the public. Of the other 11 pairs, one will go to Messi, and 10 more will go to players recently named as members of the adidas “Backed by Messi” campaign.
The cleat will feature a black base with a gold and deep red pattern, with Messi’s No. 10 shirt number on the heel in metallic gold.
The cleats will only be available in Messi’s size 8.5.
