National Basketball Association (NBA) MVP and champion Stephen Curry announced an extension of his endorsement with Under Armour, Baltimore, in a deal that will keep him with the sportswear brand through 2024.

Terms of the extension were not disclosed, but Curry’s extension includes an equity stake in the company, according to media reports.

“His work ethic, uncompromising self-belief, and commitment to the community are characteristics that make [Curry] the perfect partner to ignite the growth of Under Armour in the sport of basketball and around the world,” says Adam Peake, EVP of global marketing, Under Armour. “We are extremely proud to call Stephen family, and we are excited to write the next chapter of our shared story.”

Curry, with his emergence as one of the NBA’s premier players, has boosted Under Armour’s shoe line significantly with the “Curry One” that was launched in February.

The extension comes two years after Curry and Under Armour signed an initial contract, and likely will see the basketball star play his best years in the company’s shoes.

“Under Armour has felt like family since day one,” Curry said in a statement. “In the first two years of our partnership, we accomplished so much both on and off the court, and I’m looking forward to being part of the brand’s story for the rest of my playing career and beyond.”
