Scimitar Sports, Worcester, U.K., has joined with confectionery specialist Swizzels, Derbyshire, U.K., to produce custom cycle jersey and running vests featuring several confectionery brands, including Love Hearts, Refreshers and Drumstick.
“It’s exciting to be teaming with Scimitar Sports to launch our first ever range of sportswear,” says Sarah-Louise Heslop, marketing manager at Swizzels. “The designs are bright and fun and will appeal to everyone, from amateurs to professionals.”
The price for the attire will range from £25 for the running vests to £40 for the cycling jerseys.
“Lately we’ve witnessed nostalgic designs and retro references grow in popularity among sports people and sportswear designers,” says Cat Ford, marketing manager at Scimitar Sports. “Here at Scimitar Sports, we wanted to create dynamic, durable sportswear that would raise a smile of recognition.”
