The NFL Players Association, Washington, D.C., through its marketing and licensing arm, NFL Players Inc., and DraftKings, Boston, announced a partnership that will allow some of the National Football League’s top players to appear in marketing campaigns for the daily fantasy sports giant, according to Forbes.com.

The NFL has embraced relationships with daily fantasy sports sites, and this partnership will allow DraftKings to use NFL players for in-product and promotional campaigns.

“The NFL season is one of the important times of the year for DraftKings and the DFS industry, so to be able to feature NFL players as part of our marketing efforts adds a level of excitement and connectivity to the game that is a huge win for us and our community,” says DraftKings Vice President of Business Development Jeremy Elbaum. “The NFLPA represents some of the most celebrated athletes in the world and we’re looking forward to collaborating with them throughout the season.”

DraftKings and FanDuel, another daily fantasy site, have sponsorships with 28 NFL teams, worth an estimated $6 million-$7 million each, according to research firm IEG.
