Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls has signed a marketing partnership with Yanmar, Osaka, Japan, a heavy equipment manufacturer.
The multiyear contract will see Yanmar’s logo on signage at Red Bull Arena and on the team’s training kit, according to Sports Business Daily. Yanmar also will become the official diesel engine, utility vehicle, marine and agricultural provider of the Red Bulls.
“As Yanmar uses soccer as the game to build their brand in this country, we are honored to be the club to help drive this awareness and exposure,” says Marc de Grandpre, general manager of the Red Bulls. “Both brands exhibit the same passion for the synergistic core values around innovation and community.”
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
