MasterPieces Puzzle Co., Tucson, Ariz., recently announced plans to expand into the baby and child product market with licensed sports rattles and push-pull toys.
The company plans to introduce the full line of new baby, infant and child all-natural wooden rattles and push-pull products in July. The toys in the line will feature logos of sports teams, thanks to MasterPieces’ licenses with the National Football League, National Hockey League, Major League Baseball and NCAA.
“Entering the baby market was a natural extension for our company,” says David Rolls, president, MasterPieces. “The tactile play, visual, hand-eye coordination and fun of the rattles and rolling toys build perfectly onto our existing agreements with top sports licenses, as well as our printing and manufacturing abilities.”
The new products meet all industry safety standards, and are made of real, all-natural wood with non-toxic colors and finishes, and are completely BPA-, phthalate- and formaldehyde-free.
The rattles have knobs, handles and rings to offer various shapes for baby to explore. The push-pull toys will be available in various shapes corresponding with each sport, such as a football helmet, car, baseball cap and Zamboni to provide motor-skill development and hand-eye coordination.
