In continuance with their recently launched partnership, Fox Sports, Los Angeles, and NextVR, Laguna Beach, Calif., will broadcast the final three rounds of the 2016 Big East Men’s Basketball Tournament live in virtual reality from Madison Square Garden.

The virtual reality broadcasts begin March 10, and all the games will be broadcast live on FS1, except the March 12 championship game, which will be televised on Fox.

This is the first time a college basketball tournament will be broadcast to a global audience live and in virtual reality.

“Our pipeline for premiere sports content keeps building and we’re excited to deliver virtual reality programming with broad appeal to college sports fans, well-known early adopters of technology,” says Brad Allen, NextVR chairman.

The live virtual stream will include player stats, scores and game updates, along with audio and graphics.
