The Collegiate Licensing Co., Atlanta, the licensing affiliate of IMG College, has extended its partnership agreement with Gonzaga University to continue managing the school’s trademark licensing program.
The eight-year agreement will run through 2024 and will give Gonzaga continued access to CLC’s brand protection, management and development services through a comprehensive, customized trademark-licensing program. In addition, Gonzaga will continue to benefit from CLC’s marketing and licensing strategies, as well as partnerships with licensees that will advance the university’s goals and marketplace position, according to CLC.
The Gonzaga licensing program is coming off a 2015-16 fiscal year that saw total royalties grow 25% compared to the previous year. In addition, CLC has increased retail distribution and product selection of Gonzaga merchandise by securing a presence for the university at retailers such as Costco and Fanatics. — M.Q.
