The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing affiliate of IMG College, has announced an extension of its global partnership with Louisiana State University (LSU) to continue managing the school’s trademark licensing program until 2026.
In addition, LSU has named CLC as the exclusive agent for all University campuses beginning July 1, 2017.
LSU’s officially licensed goods now are sold by more than 6,660 retail accounts across the country, an increase of more than 340 retail accounts in the last two years. Royalties for the school have increased 141% in the past decade. Additionally, the Tigers finished the 2014-15 fiscal year ranked No. 6 in earnings among CLC partner institutions.
“CLC is excited to continue our long-term alliance with LSU, which has always been an active, engaged partner that has utilized our service offerings across many areas of its licensing program,” says Cory Moss, senior vice president and managing director, CLC. “We will continue to employ our research, digital marketing, and entertainment assets, along with innovative brand strategies, to help LSU strategically manage its brand and further extend its reach at retail.”
Revenue from LSU licensed product sales supports the school’s general fund, including student scholarships, and LSU Athletics.
